The Fernando experience is just getting more frustrating. Last week I wrote about my rental car disaster in El Paso, they had the car in Mexico?? Here is the reply:

We’re sorry to hear you weren’t able to pick up your hire car.
Avis did have the car ready for you at the time you wanted.
Unfortunately, because we didn’t know that you weren’t going to pick the car up, we cannot give you a refund.
The Ts&Cs for every car on our site explain that there are no refunds for cancelling after the arranged pick-up time. You will also find a link to your booking’s Ts&Cs on your voucher.
We’re sorry you couldn’t enjoy your rental this time, and we do hope that your experience hasn’t put you off.

Way to go for basically just ripping you off. My bank is still working on it, this looks like a case of legally stealing from you – much like Blockbuster used to do with the late fees. Their business plan banked on it. I’ve used booking.com for a few trips, I will NEVER use them again. When I had an ugly incident at Blockbuster, I was the first to sign up for Netflix. Peet’s also lost one of their best, long time customers in me. I was so loyal until that stupid gift card incident that could have been resolved at the store in 5 minutes. Instead it was a week, where their customer service department said, “We’ll have to take your word for it.”
I don’t want to complain, it’s just that this stuff is SO FRUSTRATING for me. When stuff like this happens I think, “They will not get one more penny from me.” Do they care? No, they’re frigg’in billionaires. I miss customer service 🙁
